What is 3D sound?
Our ability to perceive dimension and direction from sound has evolved over millions of years. This exquisite human sense allows us to quickly interpret complex reflections, timing, frequency and phase of incoming sound waves. The pristine realism of 3D Sound is created using a special microphone and recording process that captures the sonic detail of sounds as if experienced in real life. When heard through earphones, your brain perceives the sounds with a heightened sense of reality. Often compared to a sonic hologram, some people actually experience memories, smells and other senses triggered by 3D Sounds.

What are BrainWaves (aka Binaural Beats)?
Binaural Beats are produced when two tones of slightly different frequencies are played separately into each ear.  Your brain will ‘hear’ a beat in the combined sound.  This is actually an “auditory artifact” created by the way our brain perceives sounds.

Research shows that Binaural Beats can be used to alter the dominant frequency of your brain. This effect has been called the Frequency Following Response or FFR.  BrainBaths lets you choose from a selection of precisely tuned Binaural Beats that gently entrain your brain into deeper states of awareness, relaxation and focus.

What are brain frequencies?
Different states of awareness have been associated with the various frequencies of brain activity.  For example, the alpha state is generally associated with relaxation and calmness and delta is associated with deep sleep and healing.

Technical Questions:

The sounds stop playing when my device goes into power save mode (dimmed screen), why?
BrainBaths is designed to play even when your device goes to sleep and this issue is easily fixed by rebooting your device once after downloading. To reboot, first hold down both the top and large round buttons to shut down, then push the top button to start up again. Apple recommends doing this after every app download.

My sounds stop playing when I turn the timer on, why?
If you have sounds playing before you start the timer, be sure to select the count-down hours/minutes first, then turn the timer on. That way your sounds will continue to play. After the countdown is complete, you can have the timer turn off the sounds, play a beautiful chime alarm and/or turn off your device (eliminating battery drain after you fall asleep).

If the volume seems low, how do I turn it up?
Make sure that your device volume is turned up as well as the volume controls for BrainBath. Sometimes other apps will change your device's volume setting after being used.

Why didn't BrainBaths download to my device?
Larger size apps like BrainBath will download directly to your device while you are connected to a WIFI network. If no WIFI is available, BrainBaths will download to iTunes and install when you next sync the device.

I can't open BrainBaths, why?
A bad install is often the cause of this issue. If you have a problem opening BrainBaths, try resetting your device by holding down the sleep and home button until it turns off. Then turn it back on. If you still experience a problem, try deleting BrainBaths from your device and letting iTunes reinstall it for you.

Will I receive future updates for free?
Yes, once you purchase BrainBaths, all future updates are free! You will be automatically notified when a new update is available for download.
